You will be on our wholesale list and get great deals on all our crops! We believe our farms as well as some other area farmers produce some of the highest quality and best tasting produce in the country. Farming is a family tradition and we would like to make you a part of our family. The Nicholson Family has been growing vegetables for over 100 years. We specialize in Tomato, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Squash, Cucumber, Sweet Onions, Peppers, Blackberry, Strawberry, Blueberry, Muscadine, Scuppernong, Beans, Corn, Peas, and Lettuce etc. We are also in association with local growers of greens, peaches, pecan, peanuts, potatoes etc. Local family farms are closing up shop. The big chain stores no longer buy local but opt to ship produce from far away sources such as Florida, Mexico, California etc. We want to bring the freshest local produce to your household and want you to trust where your vegetables and fruits are grown. We want to make you a member of our farm family. We have several options for membership. What do you get with your membership? You become a member of our farm, and help to contribute to an association of many local farmers as well. You receive one share of various fruit each and every week. If you purchase a half share you can opt for a full box every other week or thirteen consecutive weeks. The farmer's recipe of the week is included in every box. A list of each fruit or vegetable will be available with its source and growing practice. We also have farm days three times annually where you are welcome to join us for various activities and a tour of our farm and supporting area farmers. We also have pick your own seasons for berries and selected vegetables you will be able to get member/family discounts for tours and pick your own items. We will have a local pickup location in your area weekly. We also deliver to your home for an additional $5.35 per week though delivery area is limited please check for availability. We also have a community association package for families, church groups, neighborhoods, friends, business associates or whoever wishes to pool together to organize their own community supported agriculture group. For an annual membership of $99 your organization would be able to assemble your own selected assortment of fruits and vegetables from our list at wholesale case prices. Most cases range in weight from 20-40 lbs depending on the crop. Your cases would be delivered to a designated location within your organization(minimum order of $50 no minimum when picked up at our regional pickup location). For example maybe your group of 10 contributed $10 initially to become a member and then $10 per ($100 pooled) you could buy $100 worth of wholesale cases to divide among your members. Some groups plan to have a leftover portion to donate to the needy in their community. All home deliveries subject to fee to be determined(minimum $1 per case). We also donate a portion of our crops to outreach programs in the area. This is a great way to save money and time on your grocery list. These prices are normally less than half grocery stores and are fresh and taste so much better. The longer a vegetable is off the vine the more it looses its nutritional value. Members get their produce packed full of nutrition fresh from their own supported farm. You actually play a role in growing your own produce. When you become a member you play a vital role in supporting community agriculture, area farmers and their families, healthier living, relationships, gaining a fresh source for produce, and save time and money. Deliveries will begin around May 1st 2011. We will plan our crops according to membership, after March 1st membership may become limited. We are able to guarantee a box of fresh fruits each week due to our years of experience and support from other local farmers throughout the community. Most of our crops are irrigated so we are drought tolerant, but if for any reason we are unable to fulfill our obligation through our own farms we will fulfill our obligations to our members through our relationship with other area farmers. We look forward to growing for you and your families as well as our own.
